Testosterone and Erectile Dysfunction

The human body is truly an amazing thing and inside of the human body is a perfect balance of chemicals that keep us running, so to speak. In a male, testosterone plays a large role in not only your physical health but also your sexual health and development. It is something that has really been in the headlines recently and many people have come to realize exactly how important having enough testosterone is. This is especially true for men who are experiencing erectile dysfunction as a result of their testosterone levels being low. If this is the case with you, what can be done in order to boost your levels?

One of the main ways for you to boost your testosterone, overcome erectile dysfunction and enjoy life in general is by getting healthy. If you're carrying around a belly in front of you, you're not doing yourself any favors in this regard. Not only does the fat make it difficult for you to do everyday things, it also cuts into your testosterone levels dramatically. In order to boost your levels, go on a controlled diet where you are keeping your calories anywhere from 500 to 1000 calories below your daily needs. This will cause you to lose a healthy 1 or 2 pounds per week and your testosterone levels will go up as a result.

In line with that, you want to make sure that you are doing exercises. Not only will these exercises assist you in losing the belly, they are also good for building testosterone on their own. Skip the aerobic exercises and the running for miles in favor of doing some weightlifting. The heavier that you go with your weightlifting and the more you tax your muscles, the more testosterone your body is going to produce. Not only will you look great, you will have the hormones necessary to maintain erections.

One final note about erectile dysfunction and testosterone has to do with your mental outlook. Most of us that suffer from erectile dysfunction tend to suffer silently and it can be very taxing on our relationships. Losing weight will not only help you to be able to gain your sexual health back, it will also enhance it. For every 35 pounds of weight you lose, you will gain an extra inch of penis length. Use that as the fuel to keep you going.
